Congratulations to Peter Carty who won Captain David Kelly's Prize on Saturday 24th.  Peter had a great score of 142 over the two days.  Well done Peter.  Congratulations also to Dolores Gavin on winning Captains Prize to the Ladies and Daniel Furey who won the Captains Prize to the Juniors.  Well done to all prize winners.

This years Nine & Dine came to a close last night with a very enjoyable evening in the Clubhouse.

Congratulations to Lauren Walsh on having a hole in one last week at the European Amateur Championships in Parkstone GC UK.  Lauren achieved this on the second hole, 174 yards using a 5 iron.  Well done Lauren on a super achievement.  Lauren will be representing Ireland in the Ladies Home Internationals on 7th to 9th August in Downfield GC Scotland.  Best of luck to Lauren and all the team from all in Castlewarden.  We are very proud of you and your achievements.
Congratulations to Donald Thompson and Kim Ryan winners of President Robert Carroll's prize. Congratulations also to Tommy Moore and Vivienne Denton on winning the Presidents Prize to 5 day members and Gino Cregan on winning the Presidents Prize to the Juniors. Well done to all winners. Sincere thanks to President Robert for the burgers on the 10th hole on the final day. There was some great golf played after that and all those playing had a great day in the sunshine.
Following on the success of the Play in Pink day, a cheque was presented to Miriam Hand of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute.  We would like to thank all the ladies who took part and made the day such a success.  A big thank you also to the men who played in the 9 hole competition and to the sponsors of the day Vincent and Miriam Boyle.

Nine and Dine of 2019 is on Thursday 11th July. Timesheet is now open. Cost is 16 euro which covers a delicious main course provided by Karl, a 4 person scramble, prizes for First and Second and plenty of picky outs. Timesheet opens on Monday at 7.30. Thanks to Teresa and Tom for arranging most enjoyable social evening of golf and good fun. We hope to see you all there.

Congratulations to Lauren on getting to the semi final of the Irish Women's Close Championship in Woodbrook today Sunday 23rd June.  Lauren was beaten by Paula Grant of Lisburn on the 18th hole while finishing 1 under par. It was a fantastic display of golf and sportsmanship.  The many followers from Castlewarden were witness to what is reported to be the best game of golf they have seen. Well done Lauren and best of luck for the rest of the season.
