Hole 1

Dogleg Par 5, favour the left side off the tee. Out of bounds gets closer as you approach the green. The green also slopes from middle to back.

Hole 2

Plays slightly uphill to an elevated green. Anything right off the tee leaves you with a tough second shot as the green slopes from right to left.

Hole 3

Strong par 4 with danger lurking from tee to green. Two ponds guard the front and sides of the green which are not too visible from your second shot so make sure to take enough club.

Hole 4

Interesting tee shot here. Sharp dogleg right with water on the right as well. The safe play is to the corner leaving a comfortable 120 yards in. Super matchplay hole with loads of risk and reward.

Hole 5

Dogleg left so favour the right side off the tee, anything left will penalise you. Second shot plays slightly downhill to a two tiered green, make sure you're on the right one.

Hole 6

Requires ideally a slight fade off the tee with a testing second shot. The green is relatively long so make sure you play the yardage.

Hole 7

Hitting the fairway is a must which will set up a second shot that you must leave under the pin, the green is quite undulating so don't get a rush of blood.

Hole 8

Favour the left side of the fairway off the tee shot as this fairway moves left to right. Anything right leaves a tough shot to contemplate. Out of bounds hugs the last 80 yards of this hole which makes the approach shot that bit more strenuous.

Hole 9

Hard dogleg to the left, don't be fooled by taking off a big chink of it though. As anything not quite hit leaves you in the trees. The green slopes from front to back so plenty of loft is required with your approach.

Hole 10

The ultimate risk reward hole here. The bigger hitter has to carry 240 yards to cover the stream that meanders from 150 yards on the left side of the hole to the front of the green and around to the right of it. The less stress way of doing it is play something to 170 yards and then in from there.

Hole 11

Straight tee shot essential here on this pretty looking par 4. A green that slopes gently from left to right.

Hole 12

Slightly right to left off the tea with a bunker hugging the fairway on the left at 240 yards from the white tees. Second shot is partially blind so play the yardage in front of you.

Hole 13

Right portion of the green is the aim point here with water flanking the left and encroaching quite near the green. Green slopes from back to front so respect needed with your putt.

Hole 14

Strong par 4 that plays uphill to a narrow 2 tier green protected by bunkers. Par is king on this hole.

Hole 15

A gentle fade off the tee leaves a straight second shot into a beautiful green protected by bunkers left and right.

Hole 16

A really testing par 4 that requires a strong tee shot that leaves you with another testing second shot into a beautiful corner of the golf course. Hitting the green may not be quite enough here as the green is quite big with subtle breaks.

Hole 17

The last of the par 3's requires 1 more club then what the yardage says. With a hidden valley just before the green. The green slopes from back to front so hitting the right portion is so important.

Hole 18

Par 5 to finish with out of bounds all the way up the right. This leaves you with an opportunity to take on the corner with your second shot; a severe right angled dog leg. Danger is lurking all over this hole which finishes into a majestic backdrop of the walled garden. A beautiful end to any round.
